Ledegar Roofing Company, Inc. is a large, growing commercial and residential roofing company currently seeking a yard person to assist with all shop yard duties. This is a full-time position. A clean, valid driver’s license is required.
Compensation
$20/hour to start. Earn up to $30/hour, depending on experience.Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, tidy and hazard-free shop yard
- Assist with loading/unloading
- Inventory checks
- Pull materials for jobs
- Sort and place materials in an organized fashion
- Keep all inventory and equipment clean and organized
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience and basic knowledge of construction materials and equipment
- Ability to perform day-to-day physical activities and lift up to 50lbs
- Demonstrates effective communication skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to work independently to solve basic problems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize basic and repetitive workload

You will be expected to fulfill all aspects of your job as listed above under responsibilities and requirements in addition to other responsibilities that may be added due to job situations, or changes in your employment status.
You will be responsible for filling out and turning in your own timesheet weekly no later than Monday at 8:00 AM to the designated area. When mandated you will attend company meetings deemed necessary by the Company President.

As a roofer, you will be responsible for the installation of roofs on both residential and commercial properties. This role requires hands-on work with various roofing materials, a commitment to safety, and a focus on quality workmanship. Ideal candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoy working outdoors as part of a skilled team.
Requirements
- Prior experience in residential roofing preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
Responsibilities
- Install roofs using materials such as asphalt shingles, metal, slate, and other roofing systems
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit securely around vents, chimneys, and other features
- Remove old or damaged roofing systems and prepare surfaces for new installations
- Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines and procedures
- Use hand and power tools to complete roofing tasks efficiently and accurately
- Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times
- Communicate clearly with team members, foremen, and clients when necessary
- Assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment

This is not your typical desk-only marketing job. You’ll be out on job sites capturing project progress, creating engaging content, and bringing our story to life across digital and traditional platforms. You’ll work closely with leadership to develop and execute strategies that keep Ledegar Roofing front and center in our industry and community.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media or related field (required)
- Experience across multiple marketing channels (social, web, print, etc.)
- Strong content creation skills – photo, video, copywriting, and design
- Ability to climb ladders and be comfortable working on job sites when needed
- Drone certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and creative problem solver
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
What You’ll Do
- Develop, manage, and execute marketing campaigns across all platforms (social media, website, email, print, etc.)
- Create hiring ads and materials to support recruitment efforts
- Capture on-site photos and videos (including drone footage, if certified) to document project progress and showcase our work
- Coordinate and produce headshots, team features, and behind-the-scenes content
- Maintain and update company website with fresh, engaging content
- Assist with career fairs, community events, and sponsorship activities
- Monitor marketing trends and apply new ideas to keep us ahead of the curve
- Collaborate with leadership to shape and uphold Ledegar Roofing’s brand identity
