The Foreman will be responsible for leading a roofing crew to perform work safely and productively per specifications and to the standards of the company and customer resulting in quality commercial roofing installations.
The Foreman will provide leadership to a crew – fostering safety, teamwork & discipline – resulting in efficient and professional roofing installation. The Foreman will also manage labor, materials, and equipment.
The duties of Foreman will include, but are not limited to, lead a crew to install roof systems efficiently and safely, meet production and quality goals, deliver excellent customer service, manage job sites, equipment, and materials, exhibit exemplary responsiveness and personal leadership with all field and office personnel.
Compensation
Up to $50 per hour (based on experience)
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of commercial roofing experience (REQUIRED)
- Minimum 1 year crew lead or Foreman experience (REQUIRED)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (REQUIRED)
- Extensive knowledge of low sloped roofing systems (BUR, EPDM, TPO, PVC, Architectural Metal & others)
- Willing to work at varying heights and weather conditions
- 21 years of age or older
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Comprehension of construction documents & OSHA regulations
- Proficient in math skills relevant to roofing work
- Superior attention to safety & detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines
- Self-motivated with strong leadership abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to execute and teach others to execute roof system installation skills
- Able to work well with others and within a company system
Responsibilities
- Perform work in accordance with safety guidelines and job specifications
- Responsible for leading, motivating, and coaching their crews on roofing jobs
- Removal and replacement of various roof systems
- Maintain professional interaction with all customers and crew members
- Organize, plan, and achieve all goals based on the scope of the work
- Communicate regularly with project managers regarding work and personnel issues. Supervise crew time sheets. Record work performed daily. Requisition materials and keep accurate materials and equipment reports. Participate in operations and customer meetings as necessary.
Physical Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time on a regular basis throughout the day.
- Must be able to frequently ascend/descend ladder up to 40 feet.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
- Constantly work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in varied extreme weather condition (extreme hot and extreme cold weather).
- Load and unload material and equipment from variant heights.
